During the day, the group visits the Jewish Museum in Trondheim, where the students are introduced to the history of the Jews from Trondheim and what happened in the city during World War II. The group also visits the Museum of Justice, where they gain insight into what happened to the rule of law during the occupation, and the means that the occupying power used in its ideological warfare.

This is what we stand for

As a museum for a national minority, we strive for quality, accessibility, collaboration and continuous innovation in everything we do. We shall be relevant, timely, inclusive and respectful in all aspects of our work. These values guide us in fulfilling our mandate in a meaningful and sustainable way.

Where footsteps have left traces in the cobblestones, we let the voice of the past wander on – with the hope that knowledge provides direction for the future.

At the Jewish Museum Trondheim, the group will participate in the educational program " Home. Away. The Jews from Trondheim ". Between Easter and autumn holidays, the Jewish Museum Trondheim also offers city walks , where students gain insight into the same theme. The group visits various places in the city and provides an introduction to Norwegian-Jewish history with a focus on life and fate during World War II.

At the Museum of Justice, the day consists of two main elements. The students gather in the museum's combined classroom and courtroom, where they are introduced to the theme. The museum's facilitator brings authentic objects from the war years that the students are allowed to look at and sometimes handle. After this, the students are introduced to the means and effects of propaganda through historical and modern examples. They work in groups and are challenged to create their own propaganda. By using the techniques of propaganda themselves, the students will be able to reflect on and recognize propaganda in our own time.

Each program takes about 90 minutes, and a meal break can be included between museum visits. When booking a city tour, please allow a little more time.

The museums are located close to each other, and it takes just under 10 minutes to walk between the museums.

Package price: 1500,- for up to 30 students per group.
