Educational Programmes

Jewish Museum Trondheim offers a variety of educational programmes for primary school, high school, and college/university. Through the different learning resources the schools and educational institutions can learn about Jewish faith, culture, and history in Norway. Also, they will be able to learn about topics such as anti-Semitism and Holocaust. The sessions are adjusted according to on what year the students are, and they are based on central goals of the national curriculum.

See below for the education programmes we offer. It is possible to tailor and adjust these learning resources according to the wishes of the educational institution. The programmes are primarily in Norwegian.

    Safety Routines for School Groups

Jewish Museum Trondheim follows the safety routines for using the synagogue, where some are directly related to school groups.

    Arrival
We kindly ask that you do not have a meeting point right outside the entrance to the building. Alternative meeting points can be the parking lot next to Prinsen Cinema, or Ytre Kongsgård, across Prinsen street from the museum. You may go to the entrance a couple of minutes before to enter the building. If you arrive earlier than booked, please contact the security at the entrance to notify us.

For city walks, please arrive at one of the locations mentioned above, and the guide will meet you there.

    School bags etc.

There are limited possibilities to bring school bags etc. through the security check. We recommend you to not bring along school bags etc., if possible.

If not, you are able to leave them in a lockable box outside the security check. You can get the key from the security guard. You are able to bring your valuable, e.g. computers, with you inside.

The routines might change. We will notice you in advance if this will occur. Please contact us if you have any questions.
