The museum's interview collections consist of audio and video recordings with contemporary witnesses, descendants and professionals, and cover a wide range of topics related to Norwegian-Jewish life and history. Everything from upbringing, traditions and family structures to experiences of discrimination, flight and belonging in the post-war period is documented. The collection also includes conversations about identity, everyday life, faith, work and social participation, seen through the eyes of those who have lived history.

Interview collections

Details immortalized.

Through these personal stories, it becomes possible to understand the human aspects of historical events and social changes. The interviews provide valuable insight into minority experiences, and serve as an important source of oral tradition and experiential knowledge. The material is preserved as part of the museum's documentation work, and is used in research, teaching and exhibitions.
