Why did so many Jews come to this small, poor neighborhood? How did the Jews of Nerbyen help lift this neighborhood out of poverty and into the new century? What happened to the Jewish quarter during World War II, and what remains of this history today?

This is what we stand for
As a museum for a national minority, we strive for quality, accessibility, collaboration and continuous innovation in everything we do. We shall be relevant, timely, inclusive and respectful in all aspects of our work. These values guide us in fulfilling our mandate in a meaningful and sustainable way.
Through cobblestones and alleyways, we follow the traces of a vibrant quarter, where Jewish life, hope and history once flourished in the heart of Trondheim.
