Lecture with Margrethe Stang: Jews in medieval art

Welcome to the lecture in the synagogue!

Why are there so many images of Jews in Scandinavian medieval art, despite the fact that there was no Jewish settlement there? And what can these images tell us today?

Margrethe C. Stang is an art historian at the Department of Art and Media Studies, NTNU, and has, among other things, researched representations of Muslims and Jews in medieval visual art.
