Museum closed from December 23 to January 6

In the Jewish calendar, Hanukkah is celebrated from Kislev 25 to Tevet 3. This year it will be from December 25 to January 2 in the Gregorian calendar. This means that the holiday coincides with the Christmas celebration and public holidays in Norway in the coming weeks.

The museum will have its last opening day on Sunday, December 22, and will reopen on Tuesday, January 7.

We are entering a year with many important commemorations. In 2025, it will be 85 years since the invasion of Norway, and 80 years since the liberation - both of Norway and of Auschwitz. At the same time, 2025 will be an anniversary year for both the synagogue in Trondheim (100 years) and Trondheim's Jewish congregation (120 years). We are very much looking forward to being part of marking these important events. We are also looking forward to showing the public more of what we are working on, and what plans we have for the future.

We wish everyone celebrating a joyful holiday celebration. See you again next year!
